If you’re somewhat active on social media, you’re familiar with the term: Fitness blogger. Let’s focus on how you can become one.
It all seems pretty awesome, and we honestly think it is. Getting sponsored by nutrition companies, getting free fitness gear and having millions of followers on social media.
Fitness bloggers have a huge influence on their audience, and they are a great tool for advertisers and big businesses within the Fitness market to sell their products.
When you become a Fitness blogger, you become an advertising space for multi-million dollar companies. But that’s alright because you’ll probably be earning a couple of million for your own.
So how to get a following?
It’s hard to get millions of followers, but you will need those to be of use to the companies you’re going to be promoting. Let’s start off with Instagram.
We know a lot of Fitness bloggers simply buy followers, but this is not the way to go. You will end up with an unhealthy follower/like ratio and advertisers aren’t stupid, they see you’re trying to game the system.
A lot of bloggers also buy real Instagram followers, which may be a bit better but we still recommend you to stick to natural growth. Have original and engaging content, work together with other bloggers and have patience. A lot of patience.
Of course, there are other methods. Think outside of the box. While it basically is all about Instagram, try and get a following on other social media platforms and lead them to your Instagram page eventually.
For example Musical.ly, ever heard of it? Well, we didn’t either.
But it’s a huge social media platform with a very low competition.
In other words: It’s easy to become famous on Musical.ly. Simply buy Musically followers and you’re golden.
How to reach advertisers?
So now you’ve got a huge following. It’s time to rake in cash. But how? Usually, by this time the advertisers will have reached out to you, but if not: It’s not a bad thing to send them a good e-mail explaining that your Instagram page is a great platform to advertise on.
Rates vary per advertiser or brand but most Fitness bloggers get paid per post. Make sure to ask enough money because if you start low, you’ll never get paid more than that.
Normal rates for an Instagram page with 1-3 million followers is around $2,500 – $5,000 per post. If you have more than 5 million followers it can easily go up to $10,000 per post.
Some Fitness bloggers have sponsor deals, meaning they get paid up to millions in advance, and have to promote the brand for the next few years. It’s worth it, believe us.
It’s not easy to get there, but when you do, you’ll be swimming in cash by doing what you love!
